Theories in education
Digital citizenship
According to digitalcitzenship.net, the definition of Digital Citizenship is the "norms of appropriate, responsible technology use". Knowing the appropriateness of the internet as a teacher can help keep your students safe and learn to be responsible as well. On edutopia.orgEe.org, there is an interesting and helpful article on digital literacy as well.
personal pedagogy
My own pedagogy has been aimed
around learning through play.
I believe that children learn best when in a relaxed setting surrounded by peers.
Play can lead to many important life skills that are hard to teach from a book.
Exploration during play can lead to better social and language skills, cognitive skills, and also developing emotionally.
Because I believe in learning through play, as a teacher my lessons and activities that I will plan for my students will be very interactive and exploratory.
I believe my teaching style will encourage children to be independent and open minded to make sense of the world around them.

In education, there is never just one way of learning. Theorists throughout hundreds of years have thought of ways to categorize learners. Here is a chart that gives several examples of learning theories and their description.
